Literacy challenges for non-alphabetic English learners
Dr Pauline Bunce
Pauline is currently teaching English as an Additional Language at Cyril Jackson Senior Campus, in Perth, Western Australia.

Pauline has taught a wide variety of courses in primary and secondary schools, in teacher training institutes and at university level - in Australia and overseas.
She holds the following qualifications:
- Master of Education in Education in Developing Countries (UWA)
- Master of Arts in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) (Deakin)
- Doctor of Teaching (Charles Darwin University)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAFE)
She has taught in a range of schools in Australia (including the remote Cocos (Keeling) Islands), West Malaysia, Brunei and Hong Kong, and in teacher training/university programmes in Sri Lanka and East Malaysia.
